MECHANISM OF ACTION

Thanks to the particular combination of TCA and urea peroxide, a mixture that does not create damage on the epidermis is obtained since the acid strength of TCA drastically decreases. This combination determines:

• Increased permeability of trichloroacetic acid across the cell membrane
• Denaturation of proteins in the dermis in a targeted and fast manner
• Increase of the oxidant effect of hydrogen peroxide released from the urea peroxide giving the mixture
• Direct oxidation of membrane proteins and of dermal proteins
