Mesotherapy for Cellulite, Slimming & Toning

What is it?

Mesotherapy is an excellent treatment to rejuvenate, firm, tone and slim different parts of the body. It is also used to help reduce cellulite, to promote weight loss, to treat stretch marks and ageing skin and to firm up sagging skin.

The treatment involves injecting a cocktail of natural extracts, as well as amino acids, pharmaceuticals and vitamins into the middle layers of the skin. This is done to promote local circulation, local metabolism and hence it leads to localised fat loss, skin firmness and a substantive reduction of cellulite.

Mesotherapy can be used for the face and the body, as well as for hand and neck rejuvenation. In contrast to liposuction, mesotherapy does treat cellulite too. In fact, liposuction often makes existing cellulite appear worse due to the excess skin formation after the procedure.

In Mesotherapy we inject directly into the areas of cellulite and hence we can be highly selective in the areas to be treated. The result is even and smooth skin and a dramatic reduction in cellulite in the most natural way.

Fat deposits are flushed from the body, and do not reappear in other areas, something that often occurs after liposuction. With Mesotherapy there is no hospitalisation, no general anaesthesia- in fact, and there is virtually no downtime

Treatment overview

Mesotherapy is a treatment for various skin diseases, which involves injecting small doses of treatment substances directly into target areas. Mesotherapy allows reversal or hindering of many unfavourable changes.

 Next to the impact of the preparations, skin puncture itself is also important (from several dozen to several hundred of those are performed) because of:

  • Improved skin cell metabolism;
  • Accelerated metabolism of fat cells;
  • Stimulation of fibroblasts to produce collagen and elastin;
  • Creation of new blood vessels;
  • Improved micro-circulation;
  • Stimulation of skin regeneration – replacement with new cells;
  • Hindered creation of harmful free radicals;
  • Proper skin nutrition.

All these aspects underlie the advantage of injection based mesotherapy over so-called needleless mesotherapy.

Although mesotherapy will not effectively deal with advanced cellulite in the expected degree, it will reduce its size and “intensity”. In case of patients with smaller cellulite, effect of complete skin surface smoothing is achievable. However, regardless of extent of the problem, very good effects may be expected – improvement in the structure of the inner fat tissue and improvement of natural metabolism.

Summing up, mesotherapy may be applied in case of cellulite at any stage, irrespective of the area – on thighs, hips and buttocks, as well as in case of patients complaining about flabby skin with poor condition and unacceptable appearance.

How does Mesotherapy work?
Our special formula, which contains a number of natural extracts, amino acids, pharmaceuticals and vitamins, is injected subdermally under the skin. The solution rejuvenates the cells, which in turn makes them more active and stimulates more production of collagen and elastin.

When injected in problem areas in the body, our formula prevents cells from storing fat by increasing local metabolic rate, and this in turn breaks down existing fat cells. The body injections target localised fat and cellulite, such as the thighs, the bottom, love handles, double chin and any other areas displaying fat pockets

Patients can start anti-ageing Mesotherapy treatments in their mid-twenties to prevent wrinkles from forming. In order to maintain the results after a full cycle, we recommend to our clients approximately two treatments per year.

Is this a painful treatment?

Injections are made using a syringe with a very thin needle, at the spacing of 0.5-1.5 cm. After the treatment, there remain marks on the skin in the form of spots or a grid – depending on the treatment technique. The marks disappear within a time dependent on the administered medicine – from 6 to 72 hours.

The injections are not very painful. If the patient has a low pain sensitivity threshold, anaesthetisation with a special cream may be applied. The needle may puncture a blood vessel, in which case a minor bruise will develop. Massage is performed after the treatment, which allows even distribution of the ingredients injected into the skin. The medicines remain active for even a month after the treatment.

When does the effect appear and how long does it last?

  • Instant results – increased elasticity, firmness and brightening of the skin;
  • Long-term results – restored smoothness and density of the skin.

Post-treatment recommendations

A few days after the treatment, after discomfort disappears, several drainage treatments are recommended, e.g. Lymphatic drainage or Lymphatic massage. These will support removal of the destroyed fat cells from the body. Regular treatments with the Smartlux (LED) lamp are also recommended.

Please remember to protect the areas where the injections were performed (e.g. do not scratch off the scabs) until completely healed. Hygiene is of utmost importance during this period (swimming pools are not advised).
